Each entry is one step in the work on your store.

Why it holds up when someone asks
Nothing in it can quietly change, and you can check that without us.

Corrections are added, never written over
We never edit or delete an entry.
How you can check it
Look for corrections: each is a new entry that says what it corrects.

Each entry holds the last
Each entry carries the fingerprint of the one before, so changing an old one would break every one after it.
How you can check it
Anyone can work the fingerprints out again and see that they match.

Dated by an outside service
After every check, an outside service dates the newest entry. Nobody, us included, can change that date later.
How you can check it
Anyone holding your record and its timestamp can check the date without asking us.

Untested rules shown too
It lists every rule at the level your store is checked against, including ones nobody has tested yet.

Look for rules marked not tested.
For your developer or lawyer: We show only the first 12 characters of each fingerprint above. Ask for your copy of the record and check it without us: its guide shows you how, with a small Python script and openssl.
